The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, marks 27 years on the Golden Stool with a grand durbar at the Manhyia Palace, drawing thousands of well-wishers from across Ghana and the diaspora.

The celebration, held under the theme "Unity, Progress, and Heritage," featured traditional drumming, dancing, and the display of royal regalia. Chiefs from across the Ashanti Kingdom paid homage to their paramount ruler.

President of Ghana attended the durbar and praised Otumfuo's contributions to peace, education, and development. "The Asantehene is not just a traditional ruler; he is a statesman whose wisdom has guided our nation," the President said.

Otumfuo used the occasion to call for greater investment in education and the preservation of Ashanti culture. He announced a new scholarship fund that will support 500 students annually from the Ashanti Region.

The Manhyia Palace grounds were filled with color as thousands dressed in traditional kente cloth to honor the occasion.
